The Rose valley is well-known for its innumerable Kasbahs and Ksours that bear witness to the struggles for supremacy that took place here. The presence of water and the fertility of the soil have attracted various peoples as far back as antiquity and the valley has been inhabited since the neolithic times.
The population, with its various ethnic back-grounds fused over the course of the centuries into the present Ait Dadès and Mgoun. They have preserved the beauty and charm of their traditional customs. These splendid monuments preserve the architectural features of the Berber tribes.
